Correction: that horrible scene of police brutality occurred in Ontario, Canada, and not in the United States. Keeping the post up to remind all of us what’s at stake in demanding a fundamental change in police culture, apparently in both countries.

Was Abolition not a meaningful, lasting reform? Was women getting the right to vote not a meaningful, lasting reform? Was desegregating the American South not a meaningful, lasting reform? Change is slow and it's rarely total, but it happens when people make it happen.

We ARE the nation, and we'll "get our collective shit together" if we *decide* to. I don't mean to get psychoanalytic on you, but you wouldn't be telling me you're apathetic unless you're at least subconsciously looking for someone to try to talk you out of it. Glad to.

Arms sales stopped to SA so they can't kill kids in Yemen, task force formed to reunite kids w/ parents, climate change deemed top priority, DACA kids protected, Keystone pipeline stopped - and you're giving up? I know it's not everything, but it's hugely different than what was.

If you feel like you needed a nap after the election, exhausted by four years of chaos and destruction, I totally understand. Now get up! Good candidates are starting to announce for 2022. We need to check them out and support the ones we believe in. #ItsJustAroundTheCorner

We need leaders who aren’t part of the corporate establishment but rather, like @EricaForUSSen, are a part of a moral movement for progress and change. I look forward to supporting her in NC and I hope you’ll do the same. bit.ly/2FFYK09

It's the most fundamental question of our time. At a certain point you're either lifting people up or you're keeping them down.

America doesn't just act like we have a war on the poor; we also act like we have a war on our young. Whether someone is 5 yrs old or 20 yrs old, doing what we can to help young people get into the game educationally & economically is the only way to create a sustainable future.

Yes a thousand times over.
Average cost of tuition of public universities around the world: 🇩🇰: $0 🇪🇪: $0 🇫🇮: $0 🇩🇪: $0 🇳🇴: $0 🇵🇱: $0 🇸🇰: $0 🇸🇮: $0 🇸🇪: $0 🇺🇸: $10,486 No wonder we have a student debt crisis. To end it, we need to cancel student debt and pass College for All.
