There’s a war on democracy underway; a wave of right wing authoritarianism is rising up all over the world. In the US we’re way past the “It couldn’t happen here” phase. It’s happening. In the words of Abe Lincoln, “We shall nobly save or meanly lose the last best hope of earth.”

As usual, Bernie is right.
I say to the Walton family of Walmart: the American people are sick and tired of subsidizing your greed. Pay your workers a living wage.

This is terrible.
I asked the White House today if Seth Harris had gotten an administration job on labor policy. They never responded. They then leaked the news to Bloomberg. Why would they be not proud of Harris' appointment? He was the intellectual architect of Prop 22. prospect.org/cabinet-watch/q…

Yay!! We need this man in Congress...
I received a call tonight from Louisiana Democratic Party Chair Katie Bernardt to inform us that we’ve received an endorsement from the state party. As an outside candidate pushing against the grain this is big. It says that our #PeoplePowered campaign is picking up momentum.

Thanks to Ben Dixon. Wonderful being on his show.
“The problem we have is that the economic and political systems that dominate...our realities...are stuck in the regressive mode of behavior... and are an obstruction when the entire purpose of the political institution is to be a conduit for solutions.” - @marwilliamson

Republican legislatures all over the country are trying and in many cases succeeding in passing voter suppression laws, openly admitting that it's because if enough people voted there then the Republicans would lose.

.@AriBerman you're doing such a great job keeping us informed of all the attacks on our voting rights. You and @staceyabrams are real leaders in saving our democracy. Thank you! #ProtectOurVotingRights

Serious times we live in...
American democracy hangs by a thread, and if Biden/Harris/Schumer don't end the filibuster and pass a $15 minimum wage - and thus put working-class Americans back on their feet - the end of the American Experiment is near. Here's why and how: link.medium.com/bv4JgMZ4geb

She’s right.
The anti-democracy movement is gaining steam. Officials push anti-protest & voter suppression bills. Press denied access for reporting. Ppl largely unaware dealing w/ COVID & trauma while others actively believe alt-narratives. All capitalizing on our chaotic existence right now.

And if they have an ounce of patriotism they should be glad to pay it. I like to think some of them would.
