It's quite the opposite. If more people had voted for the lesser of two evils last time, Trump would never have become president.

Bad governance is bad governance no matter what party someone belongs to.

"Dems are anarchists." Just trying to take that in. I'm a Democrat and I'm not an anarchist. I know lots of Democrats and they're not anarchists. In fact, the one who's throwing all the laws away these days is the one who...oh, you know....

This is evil. And the US government surrendered its right to negotiate drug prices. Big Pharma’s predatory practices are no different than oil and gas, the NRA, or the military-industrial-complex. Let’s reign ‘em in. #MedicareForAll
Gilead Sciences announced its Covid-19 therapy drug, remdesivir, will cost private insurers $520 for a single vial, hundreds of times its production cost, which researchers have estimated at 93 cents per dose. interc.pt/2ZXPyy3

11 states don't require even half a year of history or civics! No better way to control people than to fail to teach them their rights.

When STEM ed became the rage, science & math- then standardized tests- got the focus to the detriment of art, history, civics. It's had a devastating effect; if you don't learn about the Bill of Rights as a child, you don't know to be horrified as an adult when it's under assault

Very, very few people have justified looting. It's against the law and of course it must be dealt with appropriately But having said that, I'd rather see property taken over than our Constitution taken over.

No it's not, but thanks.

Are you under the impression Chicago doesn't have a Mayor and Illinois doesn't have a Governor? Given how Trump has handled the coronavirus, you think he'd be just great handling Chicago huh?

Only dictators "take matters into their own hands." Perhaps you skipped that seventh grade civics class. And may I ask what chaos you're concerned about exactly? Which city, what problem exactly...?

Johnson before him. Bush in Iraq. Cheney for sure.

Something like that. It wouldn't be the first time an American president played with the US military like it was his personal set of legos.

Not short-sighted at all. I'd like my grandkids to live in a democracy.

No, he would never "have to." Regardless how they do, it's the voters of their city and state who are supposed to deal with that. We're a democracy, not a dictatorship.
