When the President of the United States says one of the most dictatorial things possible, in contradiction to any notion of a nation ruled by law, and it’s just another day not at the office.
#BREAKING: President Trump says federal government may "take over cities" to combat rising crime: "Numbers are going to be coming down even if we have to go and take over cities."

Just out ofcuriosity. What did I say during the campaign that you didn’t agree with? The reason I ask is because so much of what people say they didn’t agree with were things that I actually never said.

That was long before the Democratic and Republican parties existed.

That was my point to you: that I’m allowed to disagree. And the way you demand better from your party is by supporting better candidates in the primaries.

Maine's election day is TOMORROW! Remember as you head to the polls that @BetsySweetME can send Susan Collins packing AND push for progressive policies like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. bangordailynews.com/2020/07/…

Are naming the complacency as voting Democratic, or not voting at all?

Disagreeing with someone is not shaming them. What's shaming is to tell people they shouldn't express their opinion because it might make someone uncomfortable.

Yes, but when it comes to the primaries we have a LOT of power in determining who the candidates are and too many of us sit those out.

The presidency is still all-important. We can't avoid that.

Absolutely let them know you don't always agree with me before you agree with me, just to make sure they don't make fun of you too!

Actually, no it doesn't. If you're not voting then they don't care what you think.

But that happens in the primary!! Too many people are sitting those out. That's my point. If you're not involved helping progressives in the primaries, then you're only left with corporate Dems to vote for - and the cycle continues.

Trying to figure out the logic there.

But I'm not going to say what I think you want me to say so that you WILL like me. Whether or not we agree on everything shouldn't determine whether or not we "like" each other. This isn't high school.
