The answer has to do with who's in the WH now. If he remains, we'll be severely limited in the changes we can effectuate over the next four years. This man will seriously limit the opportunities we now have, as limited as they have become.

I get that we're forging a compromise here:) Okay, but did you (or are you) work to help the PROGRESSIVE win the primary in your district?

Not true. It STARTS on the outside, but then has to move inside. Abolition, Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights are all examples.

3/ If we really want political power, then we have to be involved in politics - not just comment on its injustices from someplace above it all. Yes, it's dirty. That just means we have to get dirt under our fingernails & help the candidates who would fix it if they were in there.

2/ The way to respond is to beat them at the ballot box. Unglamourous, nitty gritty campaign work.Yet is was rigged at the presidential level, but w/ down-ballots we've had plenty of opportunity already & progressives haven't always shown up the way we might: Romanoff in CO etc.

1/ To those who think a response to the corporate Dems' dominance of the system, the party duopoly etc is to sit out the election or vote third party, I'd like to give my thoughts: 1) You'll teach them nothing by not voting. It didn't teach them anything in '16 & it won't in '20.

I’ve been doing that for 40 years too, but I don’t see a vote for Biden as absolving anybody. Just promise you’ll stay in California:)

That’s why we’ll start working on those things the minute he’s inaugurated!

It will not just be a cosmetic change. It will be like going from a patient on life support to a patient who’s sick but with a fighting chance. That’s a very big difference.
