Even agreeing with a lot of what you just said, for me the most important thing is to deny Trump a second term.

All that might be true. But Trump as president is far, far worse. His policies are a menace to the world.

At this point, repairing the potholes will be a blessing.

It will stop the absolute free fall long enough to give us a chance to create fundamental change.

Oh yes it will. Climate change, the justice system, judicial appointments, and more. There is no comparison. We’re not given a choice for perfect here, but even having the choice for decent is much much more than we have now.

Did he vote for the war? Yes, and that was a terrible decision. But he did not “push and push,” and there are other wars going on right now - with climate change, a pandemic, and more. And they need to be handled. He will do far, far more to do that than will Trump.

He will break the freefall and give us a moment of normalcy after all the chaos. He will bring to the White House some competent people, and we need that desperately. Then it will be up to all of us to continue the push toward fundamental change.

It is broken. But we’re going to repair it. That needs to be our absolute conviction and our commitment to the ages.

When he leaves he will leave in his wake extraordinary damage. But we will repair the damage & rebuild the country. It will take time & energy & passionate commitment on all our parts, but the United States of America is not going to go down and stay down due to the likes of him.

Teachers are people we need to listen to and understand.
I am confused by the people who seem to think that teachers don’t prefer in-person learning to virtual learning, so allow me to break it down. I have spent ten years figuring out how to be an in-person teacher. I love it. I know how to do it. I am good at it.

It’s almost hard to believe how much damage one man could do in so short a time.

This is an important one! We need @EdMarkey in the Senate.
I'm very grateful for everyone helping to power our grassroots campaign. Make a donation now and help keep up the momentum for a progressive victory in September. Tomorrow evening, I'll be calling some of the supporters who donate here: secure.actblue.com/donate/ej….
