Americans have heard about monopoly by banks etc for so long. They hear outrageous numbers & figure there must be something they don’t understand. No, there’s nothing you don’t understand; it’s sheer systemic greed. Other generations refused to stand for it and neither should we
Millions of Americans lost jobs during the pandemic. Meanwhile, JP Morgan Chase—the largest bank in the country—announced its biggest quarterly revenue in history. At a time of massive income and wealth inequality we need an economy that works for workers, not just billionaires.

Okay, so the answer is “No we can’t.” You and I just disagree on this one (but I didn’t mean to sound condescending.)

Calm down. We’re talking primaries here.

I love how you stand up for yourself. I think you’re modeling something important when you do that.

I agree with that. I just thought Cotton’s was outrageous because it was right when the protests were starting to happen and Trump was rounding up the National Guard.

Headline from tonight: Texas Democrats broke turnout records in both Texas Democratic history and Texas history in the middle of a pandemic with limited mail in voting.

Thrilled for one of my endorsees, Mike Siegel, who won in Texas-10 tonight. Now we need to make sure he wins in November! With every win like this we get closer to a transformed America.

Yes and no. To me there’s a line, and I felt that in that article he crossed it. Maybe he didn’t, but he suggested it might be reasonable to use the military to quell the protests. But vast majority of protesters have been peaceful!

Kristof has said some things I don’t agree with, but I can’t deny he says some intelligent fabulous things too. I feel that way about a lot of people. Some things I agree with, some things I don’t (you & I are that way, Jesse!) Cotton however comes from a place I rarely respect.

I like Omar; the comment I had a problem with she herself apologized for. I absolutely think she’s principled! I don’t feel the same way about Cotton. I don’t usually agree with Bari Weiss but the idea that people should shut up just because we don’t agree with them is terrible.

No. Not. Nada.
BREAKING: President Trump just announced he intends to appoint SEBASTIAN GORKA to be a member of the National Security Education Board. Gorka has ties to the Vitézi Rend, a far-right Hungarian group aligned with Nazis. He is a bigot & a white nationalist. We must #StopGorka.

I agree with Andrew about this. Principled voices shouldn’t be suppressed in this country, regardless whether or not we always agree with them. In her resignation letter, @bariweiss tells some uncomfortable but important truths that most all of us need to hear.

Plenty. But when we’re a healthy society there’s a healthy yin and yang

3/ It’s important that we all understand these issues because when we rebuild on the other side of this – and we WILL rebuild - we need to not be hoodwinked by people who would build the new house on the same old rotten foundations.
