Unless it expresses itself in this election cycle, there’s a limit to what mass protests can do.

2/ We shouldn’t confuse disease with its symptoms. The disease is a sociopathic economic system, beholden to nothing but its financial bottom line, that has infected every organ of our society - including & especially the govt. The symptoms will be there until we heal the disease

1/ The way to fundamentally disrupt an entrenched, disastrous political status quo is thru a 2-pronged approach: peaceful protest in the streets & protest at the ballot box. One without the other & the old order- thru police brutality & voter suppression – will be able to hold on

Tens of millions of Americans don’t know how they’re going to feed their children next week, or even where they’re going to live. The sheer heartlessness of our political establishment is a monumental immorality. #directcashrelief

The Colorado Senate seat will almost certainly go to a Democrat, but it’s a contest between an establishment backed corporatist Hickenlooper & genuinely progressive @Romanoff2020. For fundamental change, this one is hugely important. Send whatever you can. andrewromanoff.com

I don’t think I stumbled. My Whole Health plan was the best one out there. I thought a sliding scale was fine ‘til Covid. But it’s not just the funding, it’s also how healthcare is handled that matters. If we continue to be so tilted towards Big Pharma, we’ll still be in trouble.

In 1965 Congress passed the Voting Rights Act. In 2013 The Supreme Court gutted it. And here we are...
Today marks 7 years since the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. Since then, states with a history of voter suppression have closed 1,688 polling places throughout the South. It couldn't be more blatant:

First of all, many are not. And if going back to work is so good for our mental health and self-esteem, why did all those major corporations get hundreds of millions that they don’t need & aren’t even required to spend on their workers?

Even before Covid, tens of millions of Americans suffered chronic economic tension and anxiety. 40M were already hungry & now things are even worse. Covid is on the rise...evictions have begun. And our Congresspeople cannot be bothered to give direct cash relief. Vote. Them. Out.

Big thanks to the richest man on earth for spreading awareness of the need for climate action instead of just funding climate action

That’s why I think the most enlightened societies have elements of both capitalism and socialism.
