An extraordinary moment in our history, w/ the best & worst of who we are on full display. Important, when having to look so deeply at our shadows, to also acknowledge how people all around the country are showing up at their best. It’s a time of both horror & inspiration now.

I meantion Booker all the time. What is it that you want me to say? I think he’s great. I just think Broihier is a better candidate & the one to beat Mitch McConnell. I’m simply one person with an opinion but obviously it’s for Kentuckians to decide.

I think both of them are good but I prefer Broihier. It’s a choice to be made by Kentuckians of course.

No - the reminders of the Holocaust in Poland honor the victims & heroes, not the perpetrators! And a comparison between slavery & the Holocaust is not “complete ignorance” at all. Both involved collectivized expression of pure evil and massive suffering among millions of people.

What are you talking about? No one would be “making” an artist do anything! And they would be paid for their work, by the way.

The Germans don’t have statues of World War II Nazi leaders to remind the German people of their history. A statue in a public place is a sign of honor and should be reserved for that.

I understand the argument, and ultimately it’s for Kentuckians to decide. But it seems to me we should have our eye on the person who can beat McConnell. Democrats keep leaving rural America out of our thinking as well as our strategy & it loses elections for us all the time.

I’ve felt for a long time there’s a way to handle the confederate statue issue in a positive way.1) Remove the statues and store them in a museum somewhere, & 2) Have local & national contests for contemporary artists to replace them in the places where they once stood. #artheals

No #directcasrelief for people to survive the pandemic, but the Senate still giving the Pentagon even more equipment than it’s asking for. (Get it yet...?)motherjones.com/politics/202…

Not at all. Peaceful protesters are not a “mob.” And the charges were made by a district attorney.
