Jewish woman speaking here. Every Jew and every rabbi should be speaking up now. There’s never been a time in history when this stuff started and it didn’t ultimately get around to us.

.@HISTORY You would do this country a big service if you were to start 24 hour programming now about Nazi Germany, how it happened and what it looked like.

WHAT NATIONWIDE UNREST?!?Our children and our fellow citizens peacefully protesting?? Or police teargassing, beating & shooting rubber bullets into peaceful groups of people? I know there were people in the administration who realize he’s insane. I’m honestly praying for them now
"All options are on the table" for use of the military to deal with nationwide unrest, @hogangidley45 tells reporters.

What’s happening is that certain police aren’t taking their orders from their police chiefs, mayors or governors. They’re taking orders directly from what they hear Trump say. Trump said to use “overwhelming force” and to “dominate,” and so they are. It’s full dictatorial madness
DON'T LOOK AWAY. The cop groped her and when she tried to break away, she was beaten while standing still. THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO CRUSH DISSENT LIKE A DICTATORSHIP

You better believe I thanked him. I think it took a lot of courage for him to make the video. Identifying any group by their shadow element is pure bigotry. I speak of infiltration of our police forces by white nationalists. But that doesn’t mean every cop is a white nationalist!

I think we need to welcome this. Any movement on their part to question Trump even a little bit is a potentially huge crack in the wall that protects him.

Oh wow I’m feeling hope. Republicans are starting to speak up today. Things like this are very significant. I think they’re signaling to each other, “It’s OK to say something. We have to do this.”

This is not a moment to judge other people for past actions. It’s a moment to welcome everyone into a present awakening to the clear and present danger among us now. The coalition of conscience we need includes many people who don’t agree with each other on every issue.

Nobody’s bowing to other people. That’s not what’s happening there at all.

Individual stands for integrity are what will move the needle. Each of us has to ask what we can do on any given day to make a difference. And if each of us does something, the change will happen. businessinsider.com/murkowsk…

She was out “protesting?” Isn’t that kind of the point? She is Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Of course I didn’t miss it. I thought it was moving and sincere. But I also think that at a moment like this we need to go a lot further.

1/ There seems to be a disconnect between the huge wave of energy in the direction of fundamental change, and a recognition that down ballot congressional races are a significant part of the solution. Important not to let cynicism about the electoral process keep us from using it
