If the reparations council decides to just give individuals the money, then that would be their decision. That would be very hard to do however.

That would be up to the reparations council to decide. White people should not be making that decision.

We actually did pay the surviving Japanese who were put into the Japanese internment camps during World War II. In 1988 through the National Civil Liberties Act each was paid $20,000.

“Purposes of educational and economic renewal” is not conditions.

True. It’s immoral that we pay for public schools primarily thru property taxes. Every school should be a palace of culture, learning & art. Millions of kids go to school where they don’t even learn to read by the age of 8, making prison more probable than high school graduation.

When you’re giving $500 billion of taxpayer money, I think you absolutely can. Economic and educational renewal is extremely broad.

Reparative measures needed there as well. The issue first is unfairly negotiated and broken treaties. The Black Hills of South Dakota should be given back to the Sioux (promised in 1864). Also, the Savannah Act and more.

There are far more lovers than haters in this country, and in this world. Our problem is that the haters are so convicted now, and conviction is a force multiplier. So those of us who love must become as convicted behind our love as those who hate are convicted behind their hate.

2/ Protests over the George Floyd murder have led to unprovoked rounds of tear gas and rubber bullets sent into crowds of peaceful protesters. The role of the police is to protect the Constitutional rights of peaceful protesters - not attack or intimidate them. Everyone be safe.

1/ Far right wingers took assault rifles into the MI state capitol and the police did nothing; legislature even caved and cancelled their session. Trump actually said the governor “should make a deal with them.”
