I did everything in my power to support a progressive alternative, first by running and then by supporting Bernie. Now I’m endorsing down-ballot candidates. But if we don’t defeat Trump, there could be an all out attack on our ability to even try. To me he is that dangerous.

Nothing I say now is any different than I said then. You have the timeline wrong: then I was a candidate, now I am not. And the orbs never came from me.

No one is suggesting that it be exclusively by mail, but the option has been there and should remain. Many people need it. Efforts to destroy the postal service are another craven way to suppress the vote, by the way.

If there was a universe where it were possible and where that scenario could play itself out, I would. But there’s not. We can still have a miracle but that’s not the form it will take. Thank you though for your sincerity.

Then with all due respect, support the progressive challengers to your leadership. You know as well as the rest of us do that until that changes a tweet is just a tweet.

If you’re worried that your vote might get misplaced, then by all means you should vote in person. But there are people who are sick, disabled, confined to a bed, elderly or for whatever other reason have a difficult time voting in person and they should be able to vote by mail.

There are millions of people in America who cannot stand in line because they literally have a hard time standing. They are just as patriotic as you, and want to vote just as much as you do.
