2/ The biological crisis will end.The economic crisis will last much longer, Congress dealing with it by deliberately protecting those who already have more and leaving the vast majority of Americans to suffer. No govt but ours said to its citizens, "Drop dead." #directcashrelief

1/ The biological crisis was unavoidable. The economic crisis was totally avoidable, originating in the heartless actions of a morally bankrupt Congress. They didn't just refuse to help people; they've actually exploited it to further consolidate corporate power and control.

What a kind reply. I didn’t feel insulted, I was just sharing what I’ve observed. I hope the justice you seek is on its way to you.

My father fought in World War II, but I assure you the freedom he fought for was not the freedom to act irresponsibly.

Yes.
Depression-level unemployment is a bad policy choice. We can choose differently. My Paycheck Recovery Act will cover the paychecks of workers, help businesses with operating costs, and help the economy recovery. Oh, and it costs less than PPP. It's time to pass it.

3/ The only antidote, the only anti-viral capable of combating the systems dysfunction, is an individual awakening of enough Americans. See the game for what it is & remember millions of others see it too. Do what you can; you’re not alone. From this, even from this, we will rise

2/ There’s a deeper virus than just a biological one here. More like a virus in a computer, disabling our operating system, inhibiting our moral functioning, unraveling the philosophical underpinnings of the American ideal and confusing the American psyche.

1/ Everything that was right about the post World War II era (alliances of cooperation etc.) they’re tossing aside. Everything that’s an obsolete perspective left over from the 20th century & totally inapplicable to the 21st (racist, imperialist tendencies etc) they’re shoring up.

I wonder at what point the “say what you want about” stops. Name one aspect of the malicious caricature that was true, and I’ll take it without weighing in.

Tens of millions of hardworking Americans now living in the shadows, not knowing how to pay their rent or put food on the table. They were used to living with economic anxiety; now it’s turned into abject terror.#directcashrelief. youtube.com/watch?feature=…

You could just as easily call it a law. It’s basically the Law of Cause-and-Effect.

How it does work. The universe keeps a perfect set of books. For every action there’s a reaction.

The Golden Rule isn’t just a prescription; it’s a description of how the world works. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you - because they will. And if they don’t, then someone else well. It’s a Rule....

That’s silly. Whether in the life of an individual or in the life of a civilization, crises always bring change and for good reason.
