Did Jesus say to feed the poor or feed the rich? Do you think $500B to corporate America with no requirement they even pay their workers is teaching those corporations to fish? Or creating jobs? Or stimulating the economy for anyone but them & a very few? Nothing Christian there

3/ The idea that the best way for Dems to win is to support centrist candidates has been disproven over and over again. Dem establishment believes it but many people don't. The way for Dems to win is to support a vision that's a genuine alternative, a real of-by-for the people.

2/ Dems should stand for $2k/mo every adult, $1/k every child during pandemic; $1k/ every adult after that; Med4All. It's not enough to just not-be-Trump; Dems should actually stand for his opposite. Obstructions to that idea are obstructing the greatest chance for Dems to win.

1/ Trump has unleashed powerful, dangerous energies & we'll only defeat him by unleashing powerful energies of our own. It's psychologically naive to think old-school politics will defeat him, whether on the part of the presidential candidate or the Democratic leadership.

I would definitely take that as a starting point. The division between true liberals and conservatives (which at its best is a yin and yang) is not the problem so much as money and power struggles between political parties.

I ran myself; I put myself out there to articulate another way. I was passionately outspoken against the Iraq war and I campaigned on the idea of a Dept. of Peace. But now? Trump has us on a hair trigger away from war with Iran!

That’s not true about World War II in any way. Hitler was the parasite who wanted to run everything. And even in what we now see as unjustified wars, the personal tragedy for the soldier who died was the same and deserves to be honored.
