The President of the United States makes it clear he has a problem with people voting.

Corporate Dems try to have it both ways. The Republican Party now stands for simply giving the country to corporations. Corporate Democrats want to ameliorate the pain this causes, but won’t challenge the underlying forces that make all the pain inevitable. Both have failed us.

3/ The propaganda has been so thick - and for so long - convincing people that government is the enemy, that millions of people have willingly put their power in the hands of thieves who steal their daily bread. It’s the gaslighting behind the policies that led us to where we are

2/ But it was all a ploy. They were just transforming the mission of government from helping the people to helping the corporations. Whereas corporate taxes used to cover 33% of our public treasury - a time during which we had a healthy middle class! - it now covers only 11%

1/ The modern demonization of government began with Ronald Reagan saying “The most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.’” That gave the right wing the cover it needed to reduce govt’s power to serve people.

There’s a French saying: “If you don’t do politics, politics or do you.” You can be done with it, but it’s effects will only get worse for you and those around you. We can’t just ignore the greed and corruption; we have to get rid of the greed and corruption.

It’s up to you and me to change this.
A coal lobbyist runs the EPA A pharma exec runs HHS An oil lobbyist runs the DOI A Raytheon lobbyist runs DOD A Verizon lawyer runs FCC A Goldman Sachs exec runs Treasury A private equity kingpin runs Commerce And you wonder why stimulus funds become corporate handouts.

WE NEED A CHANGE.
95% of the stimulus money so far has gone to big corporations, rather than the people and small businesses that desperately need it. You can thank Congress for that.

This is horrifying. Our State Department should make a huge statement about it being a violation of human rights... but something tells me that that probably won’t happen...theguardian.com/world/2020/m…

We have a chance to change things in fundamental ways right now. The primary season was hard and so is Covid - but we can’t let that make us take our eye off the ball!
We are running a 💯 grassroots funded, people powered campaign for Congress against Debbie Wasserman Schultz! If you like our launch video, please chip in $23 for FL-23 here: secure.actblue.com/donate/je… #NotMeUs #JEN2020 #NextJen #JenX #JENCorps

This isn’t a time to wring our hands & say “Ain’t it awful.” It’s time to study up on all the incredible people running for office now & do everything we can to support them. Progressive candidates aren’t usually ones who have a lot of money. Giving $5, $10 can make a difference!

I talked to @JENFL23 & was delighted with her grit. It’ll take that to beat Debbie Wasserman Schultz & Jen Perelman needs our help to make it happen. Her views on criminal justice, reparations + are what we need in govt. Out with what was & in with the new secure.actblue.com/donate/ma…

I never made an anti-vaxxer statement. I talked about safe vaccines, possible civil liberties issues involving mandatories, and healthy appropriate skepticism regarding Big Pharma. The characterization of me as “anti-vaxx” was my punishment for having done so.
