2/ Today someone's height has nothing to do with capacity to discern looming threats. But we still need a leader who can "see further," which today is neither height nor traditional political acumen. It's reverence for planet, people & animals, and a knowledge of cause and effect

1/ Even now the candidate who is taller has a statistical better chance of winning. It's the vestige of pre-historic times in which whoever was the tallest person in the tribe stood the greatest chance of seeing dangers that were looming such as tigers, elephants, or adversaries.

I don't have any power over the Democratic platform, but unfortunately what's in the platform may or may not align with what the nominee actually does once elected. The platform is important, but we're going to have to show real political teeth that goes way beyond just that.

On Nov. 3 I'll be voting for the Democratic nominee. Trump winning a second term is an unfathomable threat to our country.

Trump has ushered in an age of political theatre and we won't be going back. Trying to defeat him with washed over talking points dressed up to sound like major changes will not do the trick. Democrats can have an amazing win in 2020, but only if they're willing to be amazing.
