There’s truth to what you’re saying. It’s breaking my heart.

Except that our government IS “fucking the average American and rewarding rich ones.” What exactly is the polite way to say that? “We have rampant income inequality” doesn’t quite seem to have done the trick.

$2k/mo while this lasts isn’t only what people need right now; it’s what people will vote for! Kinda-sorta-better-than him is not enough to defeat him. When things are dramatically horrible, have the guts to counter with something dramatically wonderful.

Yeah. “New Age crystal wacko nutcase lady” said over and over and over and over again was an interesting counterinsurgency strategy.

Start by repealing ‘17 $2T tax cut, where $.83 of every $ went to richest corporations &individuals (put back the middle class cut). Some call that raising taxes, but it’s just stopping a bleed created by taxes having been lowered that should never have been lowered to begin with.

Expressing an opinion isn’t necessarily “pushing a narrative.” Some of us simply have different opinions about what does and does not make the DNC change. And no, there’s not always a “more evil” candidate.

These one-time payments don’t allow anyone to relax even if they take some of the edge off. What don’t these people understand about $2k a month for as long as it lasts? Our govt is so miserly to the average American and so generous to the rich ones.
US House Democratic leaders are pushing for another round of stimulus payments of up to $1,200 per person in new coronavirus relief legislation that's headed for a vote on Friday. nbcnews.to/3brOV3w

Many people walked away in 2016 and that did not change the behavior of the DNC. Re-electing Donald Trump will punish the American people more than it will punish the DNC. When I ran for Congress I ran as an Independent, but right now I feel the stakes are too high.

George Washington warned us against them in his Farewell Address. He said they'd form factions of men who cared more about their faction than about their country. He got that right...

3/ Which is also why we should disavow the (ridiculous) notion that our government should be run like a business. No it shouldn't. Our government should be run like a family. Care for the children (everyone's children) and the house we live in (the planet itself) must come first.

2/ That's why we must passionately disavow the idea that the marketplace can solve every problem. The marketplace isn't set up that way and it shouldn't be. We shouldn't be looking for profit in order to care for our children, our sick or our aged. Some things we just do for love

1/ It's not that we don't have enough problem-solvers in America; we do. But our govt does more to fund & advocate for problem creators than for problem-solvers. Real problem-solvers don't necessarily create short-term corporate profits; they just create a more sustainable world

Apparently. But not all of them. Some of them were kind and fair.

That’s like saying that we shouldn’t legalize marijuana because it’s unfair to all the people who have already served time for it. History is supposed to move forward, not stay stuck in a wrong-minded past.
