Motherhood is an aspect of the psyche that's present in any sex or sexuality, that which gives birth and nourishes. Today let the mother in all of us declare we'll give birth to a much better world.

That’s the point. It has transformed into something about flowers and lunch for your mother one day of the year, when it began as something much more juicy and profound. Read the proclamation! plough.com/en/topics/culture…

The original Mother’s Day proclamation was written after the Civil war, when mothers from the South who had lost sons during the war came together with mothers from the North to declare, in the name of mothers everywhere, the end to war. Reclaim the day. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moth…

2/ When I ran for Congress I ran as an Independent. George Washington warned us about political parties in his Farewell Address and the Constitution doesn’t even mention them. So I’m the last person delegitimizing third parties.

1/ I’m not delegitimizing third party voting at all! In “Healing the Soul of America” I discuss the history of third parties. Abolition came from the Abolitionist party, women’s suffrage came from the Women’s party, and Social Security came from the Socialist party.

I’ve spent years trying to sound the alarm. No one can say I haven’t.

I’m not shaming anyone. I’m expressing my opinion just as others are expressing theirs. A conversation, even a disagreement, doesn’t have to be seen as some kind of emotional warfare. It’s good that we’re all passionate about this and sometimes we can all learn from other people

To me that’s a very, very legitimate point. And as soon as I know for sure that Donald Trump has been denied a second term, I’m down for it.

For the same reason that they didn’t want me running for president.

I’m not defending them. And once this next election is over, believe me I’m as much a part of this conversation as anyone could possibly be. My focus however is on making sure Trump doesn’t win again. The man is a menace to our democracy & to me that must be our first priority.

They suppressed Bernie last time, and in protest many people didn’t vote. Did they then say “Wow we can’t take those people for granted!” this year? Hell no! They did the same thing again. So it will show them nothing. All it will do is help re-elect Trump. That’s how I see it.

I don’t think it takes courage to look at it that way at all. I think it takes courage to suck up what we need to suck up in order to save our country from a fascist.

I like you even when I don’t agree with you, Jesse. Who would you choose for VP?

I know plenty about what they’ve done. I have the scars to prove it. But it is absolutely nothing compared to what Donald Trump has done and will continue to do if we give him a second term.
