The answer is not to reopen the economy; it's to freeze the economy. The government should provide everyone with the economic wherewithal to survive this period without leaving home. It's criminal to make people have to choose between their livelihood and their health.

These kinds of things are so important ... they remind us who we are.
Ok @FedEx our driver deserves a bonus! He realized it was our daughter's birthday & went to @DairyQueen to get her ice cream cupcakes. He said "I just wanted to do this because if we weren't in this situation, she'd be celebrating with friends." I'm not crying. You're crying! 馃槶

Sounds like the way I put things a little too late at night, but you鈥檙e right.

That's putting it very politely. I think it's more than that. It's not just disregard for the devastation; it's a regard for the money that can made off it.

He sure is, and you might want to read your Bible again. God's not kidding about all that love each other, help the poor, be a peacemaker and be good stewards of the earth stuff.

It's time to stop with this nonsense. The man is a sociopath and a menace to our democracy. His destiny is that he will be held accountable for his lawlessness and transgressions.

Would you like a coronation as well?

Well put. It's a journey we're on, isn't it? We're in rough waters but this ship is not going down. Not if enough of us refuse to let it happen. I see this as a huge storm but we're going to survive it.

Wait. I don't think we have to reach that conclusion about '24.

Oh, many do. That's why millions are so frustrated and depressed.

Well we had a Civil War, so I don't think we can say we've never been this divided. It's more like, "We've been this divided once before... and we know how THAT turned out."

I'm sure he's been told. The man apparently has no empathy.

I appreciate that you recognize what happened but we still have to keep our eye on what's most important. We can't afford another 4 years of this. Let's get him out of office, then I promise you I'll be first to help create whatever alternative is possible to how they behaved.

I reject that with every cell of my being. And cynicism is just an excuse for not helping.

I'm a Democrat and I understand that very well. I think many of us do.

I understand what you're saying, but we don't t have time for that analysis. We can't afford another four years of this. We simply can't go there.

We simply can't give in to that! Neither abolitionists, suffragette or civil rights workers had a linear, "reasonable" chance for success. There's a breakthrough to be had here; we just can't see it yet. Let's not block it with the thought that it's not possible.
