America's like a volcano that's about to blow. We've been that for a while & that's how we got Trump. But it's even worse now. If we don't articulate a governmental alternative that creates an option for massive economic & medical relief, we'll get Trump 2.0 - Trump on steroids.

I’ve thought about that myself but I don’t see how...

In our case it’s the opposite. Our problem is in how many ways we stopped using those rules.

On the coast of Georgia we have a progressive congressional candidate standing for real change. @LisaRingGA01 is working hard to empower voters & create a government that leads & cares for all people. Let's help get her elected. bit.ly/2FFYK09

But the "poor and working class standing together to take power" IS politics.

Then you need to read more! Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian Independence movement, and Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights movement. I recommend MLK’s book “A Testament of Hope.”

People are only going to take this so long; it’s become clear that our govt is controlled by those who essentially don’t give a damn about the suffering of others. This country was born from the overthrow of tyranny & we need to overthrow it again, this time in peace & with love.

Too many of them those are just words. In practice, it’s become “of a few of the people, by a few of the people, and for a few of the people.”

It’s not the amount of our taxes that’s the problem, it’s what they’re doing with the money. Too often they give our tax dollars to huge corporations so they can rip people off even further. It’s a political-corporate matrix that won’t end until we get the money out of politics!

Not right now there isn’t! This isn’t theory we’re talking here now, this is people’s’ lives. Ventilators. PPE. Medicine. Real financial bailout for the average citizen, not just for huge companies.

I supported UBI during my campaign and I support it still, but it’s not the be-all and end-all that’s going to make all things right. It’s just a piece of the solution, and without the other pieces it’s not enough.

Local and state governments do not have anywhere near the resources of the federal government, and those larger resources are desperately needed during a time of crisis.

I think it’s a legitimate concern... and a reason for all of us to remain very, very awake.
