No he is not “just a Republican” and his policies are not “fairly standard.” I don’t disagree with you about the Democrats so much as I totally disagree with you about Trump. No serious look at his policies leads to a description of “standard.”

The problem though wasn’t that he said it; the problem was that he didn’t say how to fix it. The most positive thing is to tell the truth. It isn’t negative to yell “Fire!” if in fact the house is burning.

The problem is, “bad guy” doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Yes I am voting for Biden, and you can say whatever you want of course. Your opinion is as important as anyone else’s. But it is an opinion, it is not a fact.

I ran for president saying that our government acts without conscience, our amoral economic system leads to immoral results, and the clock is ticking on absolute disaster. Clearly I was wrong...?

It is unconscionable the way our govt is refusing to help millions of hardworking, tax paying Americans who are on the brink of unprecedented hunger & despair. People giving away trillions of dollars in tax cuts to those who don’t need them, are telling those in need to drop dead

“If all these folks are worried about the deficit when a Democrat takes back the White House, let’s roll back that $2 trillion tax cut. I’m down. If you are worried about the deficit and you are worried about the national debt, let’s raise some taxes,” she said emphatically.”-AOC
In criticizing the COVID-19 interim relief bill, @AOC has been a lonely voice—even among progressives. But you really have to look no further than the number of cases and deaths in her district to understand why she has been so vocal. vanityfair.com/news/2020/04/…

She is 100% absolutely correct.
.@RepAOC @AOC: "It is a joke when Republicans say that they have urgency around this bill...you are not trying fix this bill for mom & pops. We have to fight to fund hospitals. Fighting to fund testing...It is unconscionable." Full video here: cs.pn/2XXiwi5

Except that it wasn’t the GOP that scoffed; it was the pseudo-sophisticates, the easily duped on my own team.

Capitalism itself is inherently neutral. Whether it is used for moral or immoral purposes is totally up to the capitalist. For the last 40 yrs US capitalism has been mainly amoral - disconnected from a sense of moral responsibility to people or planet - creating immoral effects.
