We need to shift from a dirty economy to a clean economy, from a war economy to a peace economy, from a cutthroat profit-centered economy to a humanitarian economy. Our current system does not support that shift, but our very lives depend on it. #moneyoutofpolitics

Starting to see how it works now? We need to shift from a war economy to a peace economy, and it won’t happen unless we insist. Look at this:thehill.com/policy/defense/4…

Not true. Biden does not support the 2017 $2 trillion tax cut that gave $.83 of every dollar to the very richest among us.

3/ We must always bear witness to the agony of others, or when the agony is ours there will be no one to bear witness for us.

2/ But the unnecessary suffering of tens of millions of people who can’t pay the rent or buy food now is something none of us should shut up about. We must refuse to shut up. The crumbs being thrown to those not fortunate enough to already have cake to eat is outrageous.

1/ We have allowed too much horror to be normalized. I know we can’t stay in a constant state of outrage, nor should we. I know it’s exhausting and easier to just throw up our hands at a certain point. To turn to humor like jokes about the disinfectant comment.

I agree entirely. Everyone on any kind of a Democrat list should be getting daily updates. They should be doing daily briefings that are all over the Internet. There’s no sense of an alternative camp saying how they would do things differently. MSNBC and CNN are the least of it.

It’s not about hype. You don’t have to agree with somebody about everything - you might not have even voted for them in their last election when you were living in their state - but that doesn’t mean you can’t acknowledge it when they say something you agree with.

Yep. But again, the system calls it a mental health crisis when what it actually is is the moral crisis of an economic system so unjust that it is literally driving people insane.

That is exactly the kind of thing I’m concerned about. Desperate people do desperate things.

13 million kids here were hungry even before this. Domestic violence has got to be multiplied, given that abusers and abused are with each other more than usual. People who could barely survive before are at the breaking point. But McConnell doesn’t want to increase the deficit🤦🏻‍♀️

Tens of millions of people in America have no idea how they’re going to pay rent or even have food to eat in another week. Congress dawdles & coronavirus briefings don’t even mention them. They were invisible before & they’re invisible now. The worst pandemic is our lack of heart

Bad analogy. We can’t trust climate scientists when they’re paid for by Big Oil, nor should we trust vaccine science when it’s all paid for by Big Pharma. But let’s stop now. We have bigger opponents to deal with than each other.

The Middle East is a very big deal. The United States cannot sit that one out.
