As we bear the consequences of ignoring early warning signals, climate change will hopefully be given greater credence. Pandemics was only one of several areas where we have been willfully blind and must live more responsibly in order to avoid catastrophe. amp.theguardian.com/science/…

If love can guide our personal behavior, it can also guide public policy. That is the revolution in values that will ultimately save the world.youtube.com/watch?v=5bb6L_yV…

We kept thinking something was going to fix it: Mueller was going to fix it. Then the impeachment was going to fix it. Then we were going to have a presidential candidate who could fix it. After the pandemic, I think we will see amazing energy. But right now we can’t leave home!

How cold can you get.
The Treasury Department is allowing banks to seize stimulus checks from the people who need them most. This is fundamentally wrong. People—not banks—need relief now. prospect.org/coronavirus/ban…

Really beautiful...
It started with two teenagers volunteering to help get groceries for elderly neighbors. Their free delivery service, called "Teens Helping Seniors," is rapidly scaling up to match an increasing number of requests with their network of teenage volunteers. cnn.it/3cnyhTo

I don’t know about that. This is certainly not a time when we can march on DC. And everything starts with a conversation.

How do you figure he’s trying to stop it? Those are exactly the people he’s working for.

People who keep saying “But he can’t do this (or that), because it’s illegal!” don’t get it. He doesn’t CARE what’s illegal. And at this rate, the day will come when it actually wouldn’t matter. Democratic leadership should throw out the old rule book; it’s an asymmetrical war.

How naïve our political class can be. He is speaking to his audience, laying out a step-by-step argument meant to prepare them to support what is essentially a takeover of the US government. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Yes yes yes yes yes.
People are spending most of their stimulus checks on food, medicine and other necessities. We have got to do a lot more. Congress must now immediately authorize monthly payments of $2,000 to every person in America until this crisis is over. washingtonpost.com/business/…

It’s enough for people to be good; our public policies need to be good too. In the last 40 years they’ve been primarily devoid of ethical or moral consideration for planet, people or animals - which is largely what got us into this mess. Amoral activity produces immoral results.
