I’m not discovering anything I didn’t already know, and I’m as read up on the kind of theories you’re talking about as is anyone. (I grew up in the 60s, remember.) What’s new is just that some people are reading it for the first time, unfiltered by the “Oh she’s crazy” bullshit.

But that’s the beauty of religious freedom. The fundamental principle in the United States is that people are free to practice any religion, or no religion. There’s something very profound about that to me. Everyone gets to make their own choices and the law respects that.

That’s not the revolution I’m talking about it. I’m talking about a revolution of values. I’m talking about a return to the balance of individual freedom and concern for the common good. At this point, that would be a revolutionary movement.

Abolition was a revolution, women’s suffrage was a revolution, the civil rights movement was a revolution, the labor movement was a revolution. Cultural and political revolutions occur with in the context of a capitalist system, or the capitalist system would never survive.

Dear @JoeBiden , I hope you’ll reconsider your notion that people want results and not revolution. We want both. Nothing short of a revolution of values - a shift in consciousness from me to we - will create a sustainable 21st-century. No healing the soul of America without it.

Coronavirus is nature’s way of saying “STOP. CHOOSE ANOTHER WAY.” Towards nature, towards healthcare, towards govt’s responsibility to its citizens, we need a fundamental attitude adjustment. There will be a lot of temptation to forget that later; let’s hold onto it & not let go.

With the virus as well as with every other issue we must address cause as well as symptom - otherwise another symptom will be on its way. We must address the recklessness toward nature that caused it, as well as govt irresponsibility that left us and leaves us so ill prepared now
