There are many theories regarding where this virus came from but they all point to the same spiritual/attitudinal malfunction: irreverence toward people, planet or animals. In the 21st-century this will be seen not as a less sophisticated but as a more sophisticated realization.

The most vile and insidious obstruction to America’s forward movement over the last few decades is how certain forces have convinced millions of Americans that expecting and accepting less, even to the point of their desperation and death, is somehow the patriotic thing to do.

What we’re seeing with how the US is handling this is that our govt functions to serve the few at the expense of the many. This is the moment to recognize this & commit to making sure it changes. It’s why we were so underprepared & why so many people are suffering unnecessarily.

Economically as well as every other way, living our principles is what will get us out of this. Government “of the people, by the people and for the people” would mean bailout money “of the people, by the people and for the people.” cnbc.com/2020/04/09/chamath-…

Hunger is the next tsunami, and the govt should be organizing free food delivery now. Private charity is important but it won’t be enough.
Unforgettable image: thousands of cars lined up at a San Antonio food bank today, the desperate families inside kept safely apart. Breadline, 2020. expressnews.com/news/local/a…

Can someone tell me how the "well regulated militia" part became so completely irrelevant to some of our "esteemed Constitutional scholars?" rawstory.com/2020/04/the-sup…

We have to think very seriously about what we’re willing to change in order to create a safer society on the other side of this. Something very important: we need to end animal factory farming. nationalreview.com/2020/04/c…

I wish! And even if I could do that, I wouldn’t have screamed at the end. The whole thing would’ve been done more elegantly:)

Yep. She’s “anti-science, anti-medicine, weird on mental health, dangerous, crazy, grifter.” All of that was strategized, turned into specific talking points to “get that woman off the stage” But it’s not about me.That was just a microcosm of the way they operate.

Well for one thing, question what you’re told. If someone is referred to as a serious player, ask yourself why. And if they’re referred to as a joke, ask yourself why that as well. Do your own research. Recognize that they make and break careers for fun.

In ‘20 as in’16, the first ate the second one alive. One of the most important activities on earth has been reduced to a carnival show, overseen by unscrupulous people who couldn’t care less. I hope at least some of them are using this time to think about what they’ve done again.

There are two political universes: The first is the parties, the pundits, the money, the polls, the debates, and the media. I call it the political /media industrial complex. 1/1
