I don’t think she’s saying that. She’s pointing out that she and others like her should never have been put in a position where the only way to rescue the majority of Americans was by giving a huge unearned gift to a tiny few. It’s immoral. Thus her continuing to cry “Shame!”

An ancient weapon used against women is to label our passion hysteria. If her worst mistake is that she flailed her arms a bit much, it’s simply the passion that was moving through her. I feel she’s like a daughter that millions of feminists can be proud of.

The Senate passed the bill unanimously for the very reason that she said: it was the only way to get immediate relief, as relatively meager as it is, to millions of Americans who need it badly. But it was the Senate majority that got to determine the gist of the bill.

She is right.
Representative @AOC: "What did the Senate majority fight for? One of the largest corporate bailouts with as few strings as possible in American history. Shameful!"

States’ rights does not mean states should be neglected when federal help is needed to save lives.

This view of the federal government’s relationship to the states - that basically the federal government owes them nothing – is not principled conservatism; it’s insanity. It’s an ideological obsession used to justify criminal neglect. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

People have died and are dying because they have not acted quickly enough. And why didn’t they? Because the Chamber of Commerce lobbied against it! Almost unbelievable. Every America needs to remember what happened here.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com…

My mother used to say, “Sometimes you need a good cry.” She was smart. And if she were here, she would say it now.
