He’s right to do this. We’re either a government “of the people, by the people and for the people” - or we’re not.
Unless Republican Senators drop their objections to the coronavirus legislation, I am prepared to put a hold on this bill until stronger conditions are imposed on the $500 billion corporate welfare fund.

The good is what comes about once we’re honest with ourselves about what is bad. Sugar-coating or denying dangerous factors isn’t “positive;” it’s childish.

THIS!👇
A one time meanstested payment of $1200 with bills still coming due & no provision for health care is pathetic. Meanwhile businesses like Boeing whose CEO admitted they don't even need the money, get a massive bailout written specifically for them with nearly no strings attached.

This is an important story because it continues to happen. Boeing gets away with a little bit here, Big Pharma gets away with a little bit there, Walmart gets away with a little bit here, then people start to die and we all say, “But how did this happen?!”propublica.org/article/walma…

It’s one thing for the federal government to say to the states, “Figure it out yourself.” It’s another thing to say, “Drop dead.”

He continues with the "the federal government isn't a shipping clerk" line! Don't say you're there to help governors and then not use the Defense Production Act authorization to order the equipment. It's "let the marketplace organize it all" ideology taken to a sociopathic level.
Trump to Bill Hemmer on Democratic governors criticizing the federal government for not supplying enough needed medical gear: "They have to get that gear themselves ... they shouldn't be hitting us."

Nancy Pelosi just said, “The most optimistic thing someone can do is to start a small business - except maybe get married. I’ll leave that there.” Ha!

I don’t remember Roosevelt ever pretending World War II was going to be over quickly. We are adults. We need to stop expecting politicians to talk to us like we’re children
