The economic relief plans coming out of Congress & WH are good & need to happen immediately. But we need more than that. Corporate America - every mass food manufacturer and grocery conglomerate - your country needs you to slash your prices on essentials and do it now.

May I say “Enough with the left handed compliments?” The truth is, I always was.
Maybe the single most damning indictment of our political system coming out of this is that Marianne Williamson is currently one of the most sensible voices we’ve got.

It’s absurd they didn’t postpone all the primaries today given that everyone has been urged to stay home. People had to choose between participating in their democracy, and their safety and the safety of others. @TomPerez you could have made the request and it would’ve mattered.

This is why people need direct and immediate economic assistance. Plans do seem to be afoot. And landlords will need to understand, too...

I hold in my heart today a special prayer for every pregnant woman. I assume many hold an intense fear; may they feel thousands of people praying for their safety and the safety of their child. Dear God, May they be protected and blessed, and be at peace. Amen.

Most of us, if we’re honest with ourselves, have a lot less to worry about than many others do right now. We should take the time to send compassion, best wishes prayers – whatever is our truth - to those who are suffering in deeper ways than we are.

Millions of people in dire economic duress now. Not potentially, but really. The unexpected expenditure they could not afford is now upon them. Govt is planning immediate relief, but we should never have been in a situation where so many people were forced to live hand to mouth.

I hear you and I appreciate that. I hope you receive the resources you need. Thanks for reminding all of us how dire this is for millions of people.

Few people can honestly say you haven’t had some important insights about your life that you had been holding at bay before this happened. Crisis, both individually and collectively, comes bearing some profound realizations about ourselves and the meaning of our lives.

Among other things this is a forced slowdown. And we need that. When we slow down, we’re more likely to go deeper. And we need to go deeper if we’re to have any chance at all of becoming the people we need to be in order to navigate the times in which we live.

The fact people are emotionally depressed by this is to be expected. The thing to do is to accept that as reality and hunker down for the duration, not just physically but also psychologically. We’re going to learn a lot about ourselves, our country & our world because of this.

Don’t let a realization of all the human irresponsibility that led to this put you into anger, despair or distractedness. Let it put you into sadness at the tragedy of it all. This is a good time to simply feel the grief; the grief will transform into motivation we’ll need later.

There are different theories about how this started, but all of them reflect humanity’s disharmony & violence towards nature, animals and each other. In the US, an economic rather than a humanitarian bottom line is what led to a weakened CDC and to Trump withholding early testing

MLK said those in the civil rights movement were materially positive but spiritually active. Most of us r materially passive now but we should be spiritually active. There’s a lot of thinking we need to do, about why this happened & what needs to change so it never happens again.
