That was true. But for the community I was in, it was very much like this.

I was there. I know what my experience was, and the experience of many others.

Many people have asked me what it was like during the AIDS crisis. It was much like this. And also like during that crisis, this gives all of us an opportunity to determine who we really are. We can face this thing with fear, or we can face this thing with love. It’s our choice.

To those who were really looking, it was essentially moderate already. It should not be seen as extreme to suggest healthcare, higher education, and release from unfair college loan debt. It’s simply “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

(To those who don’t understand the reference – and given how viral it’s been I’d assumed there were very few of those - a doctored video of my coronavirus meditation makes it sound like, well, you know…)

I was starting to get really depressed and then I burst out laughing thinking about how many penises have been prayed for over the last two days.

Some people see it the opposite way...that I’m amazing for being spiritual but a bit of a kook for backing Bernie.

Do you know how many ministers, priests and rabbis were sent to concentration camps because they spoke out against Hitler? Would they have been more spiritual if they had remained silent?

I heard Deepak Chopra say to believe the diagnosis but not the prognosis. Have the emotional discipline to take the virus seriously and act accordingly, but avoid the panic that comes from taking projected numbers of deaths too seriously. Nobody really knows. And miracles happen.

Well, Regan was wrong. And he did a lot of damage with that statement. I think even he began to see that before he died.

Things will be good on the other side of this. The pendulum’s going to swing; people will have been awakened to the need for a competent govt that’s active on behalf of protecting its citizens. Govt will no longer be allowed to put corporate profits before the public good. I hope
