That’s simply not how voters work though. The part of the brain that rationally analyzes an issue is not the part of the brain that decides who to vote for.

How so? Universal access to healthcare and higher education should not be seen as extreme, and would not be in any other country. His actual politics are simply those of an FDR Democrat!

This is a contest between those who feel a moderate approach will more likely defeat Trump v. those who feel a more progressive approach will more likely defeat him. I feel passion & conviction on our side will be needed to defeat the passion & conviction among Trump supporters.

That comment has no basis in fact. What do you call the police department and the fire department?

Because the entire economy is better off when more people are educated. It allows more people to participate in it, which is the best way to promote prosperity for all.

No of course it doesn’t carry legal weight. But it’s America’s mission statement, what John Adams called “our first principles.” Our emotional and psychological connection to the Declaration of Independence is almost as important as our legal connection to the constitution.

Do you realize that the police department is basically a socialist institution? As is the fire department?

I realize you’re an Elizabeth Warren supporter, and many of you are out in full force now ro denigrate me in order to nullify my support for Bernie. I love and appreciate Elizabeth and I know that she would never do this.

And what would those programs be?

That’s why we need a constitutional amendment to establish public funding for federal campaigns.

The reason we don’t have universal healthcare or free higher education is so the marketplace can continue to rule. But that’s economically self-defeating for the country. When people are healthier & more educated, they’re more productive and by definition add more to the economy.

The American people have been trained over the last few decades to expect too little. Universal healthcare & easy access to higher education is what the citizens in a prosperous society should expect and do expect in other countries. It’s part of our “right to pursue happiness.”

Calling for MORE independent scientific review hardly makes you “anti-science.”

How is someone calling for MORE independent scientific review of an issue described as having”ridiculously unscientific views?” Isn’t that ridiculously illogical? Unless of course someone is unwilling to question anything Big Pharma says, in which case one is simply ridiculous.

No I did not. I’m glad you found the help you need. Painkillers should exist too, but clearly predatory pharmaceutical practices led to their overmanufacture and overprescription. Insisting on govt oversight & healthy skepticism re Big Pharma motives is nothing to apologize for.

No, I don’t have “ideas that hurt people you care about.” I have no ideas that hurt anyone. The fact that I was painted as some wackjob nutcase anti-science, anti-medicine, dangerous crazy grifter with all kinds of BS articles to complete the hit, has nothing to do with who I am.
