We absolutely can beat Trump. More than anything else, we need to know that. Taking a stand for what’s possible is more important than anything else right now. Some laugh at such “motivational” concepts, but it’s absolutely the truth. Cast out all thoughts that it can’t be done.

Healthcare debate focuses on M4A v. public option but should also include larger issue: why Americans so sick compared to other countries. We need to take on more than health ins companies: food, chemical & drug cos. too. Plus proven holistic remedies should also be covered by ins

The contest will not be waged on the level of policy; it will be waged on the level of energy. Only someone who stands for a fundamental and passionate rejection of corporatism can override someone waging a fundamental attack on our democracy.

Yes we need diplomacy as well as military solutions, but we need to realize undue influence of military-industrial-complex in determining our policies. More short term profit in war than in peace-building, casting a veil over eyes of the American people. We need a Dept. of Peace.

But we don’t just need another “study.” We need to put a plan on the table already, negotiate a number and appoint a reparations council of descendants of American enslaved persons to disburse the funds. Nothing less will free us from the continuing trajectory of systemic racism.

Difference between reparations & race-based policies is that reparations carry moral authority. They mean acknowledgement of a debt owed & willingness on the part of a people to pay it. That brings psychological, emotional & spiritual healing that actually interrupts the pattern.

Correct. And it’s exactly what needs to be discussed, if we’re to get to the root of the problem and not just address symptoms.

No. I said “Texas longhorn...hurricane...Dorothy. I got it.” But I still support your fundraising. I think everyone supporting the candidate they feel strongly about is what’s important. I hope you meet your goal!

I agree! If someone were to rip my child from my arms, or manipulate me into giving them the child under false pretenses and then never returning him or her to me, it would absolutely be psychological and emotional torture.theguardian.com/us-news/2020…

This is excellent. We’ve got to go from whining and complaining about the disintegration of our democracy, to actually doing something about it. This is exactly the kind of thing that needs to be done. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

Ha! You can’t buy love...
I just had a @MikeBloomberg canvasser come to my door. I let him know politely I’m decidedly voting for @BernieSanders and then he just gave me a fist bump and said, “Oh me too! Feel the Bern, homie!”

There’s nothing I need to clarify. I don’t feel I said anything I need to defend. Anybody can take one sentence out of a book and make up whatever they want to make up but I feel the book stands for itself.
