This is an excellent book for those seeking to understand what a track towards peace looks like - and how it’s endangered. m.barnesandnoble.com/w/war-o…

I do not agree with some things she has said about Israel. But that doesn’t keep me from being able to see the value of this set of proposals. Politics has got to include conversation with people we agree with about some things, even when we disagree with them about other things.

Wait. I know from experience that someone did exactly that. And you’re right: with actual voters it worked extraordinarily well. But well-strategized vilification and devaluation kept people from hearing the message.

Kudos! “The suite of proposals would initiate tighter scrutiny of U.S. support to countries that commit abuses and transfer $5 billion in wartime funding to a new Global Peacebuilding Fund.” Exactly the direction I’ve been talking about for the last year.m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5…

Those who make money off wars are those being most empowered by this president.

What was less than loving about it? To me that’s like telling the abused wife to go home to the husband who beats her up because it’s the “loving” thing to do. Sometimes love says “No.”

You realize that’s what Stalin said, right? You probably don’t, so let me explain it to you. In America we don’t “purge” our political opponents.

I don’t want to be a downer, especially first thing in the morning, but we can’t let ourselves become desensitized to what’s happening. Our message to each other at times like this must be, “Stay awake. Do not go to sleep. Stay awake. Do not go to sleep.” nymag.com/intelligencer/amp/…

Bernie WON. Let’s say it slowly one more time, for the people who either don’t understand or just can’t bear the concept.
Personally, I'd say the candidate who won 1.5 states (Sanders) is the frontrunner over the candidate who won 0.5 states (Buttigieg), especially if that candidate is also leading national polls.

Yep.
A Democratic Socialist just won Iowa and New Hampshire. No candidate in the modern era has ever won both states and failed to become the nominee. That should probably be the story rather than the person who finished 5th and then 3rd. Good night #risers! ❤️

Following Trump’s tweet DOJ undid the work of career civil servants prosecuting Roger Stone, shortening the sentence they were seeking in his case. All four of the federal attorneys responsible for pursuing justice for Stone's crimes resigned in protest. google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews…

.@AndrewYang brought more than good ideas to the race; he brought soulfulness. His conversation about technology, humanity and a more enlightened capitalism will not stop here. Good ideas outlast campaigns. In our politics, and in my heart, he is here to stay.
