Paging all lawyers who want to prevent Trump’s postal coup: Forget DOJ. All states have laws against election interference. Because mail-in ballots include candidates for state office, AGs and DAs have standing to bring criminal cases against USPS. Start with PA, WI and MI.

.@SpeakerPelosi It’s time to cut the crap now. This isn’t a “distraction,” it’s a full-on attack on our democracy. Tell us us what Congress is doing that should make us feel confident our “sacred right to vote” will be guaranteed? So far it seems to be going the other direction.
Trump’s acts of sabotage against the postal service are a distraction from his dreadful mismanagement of #coronavirus and a domestic assault on our sacred right to vote.

Given his efforts to steal it, that could happen. But we should imagine something else that’s going to be true one day whether he wins or not: on the other side of this our democracy will somehow rise, our country will be better, & we will be far more mature & courageous people.

Thank you for asking. It’s been quite rough but there has been value in the experience as well. I’ve spent hours thinking about what this would be like if I didn’t have health insurance.

We “never thought it could happen here” - yet the levees have fallen one by one. It’s going to take a serious uprising of consciousness and activism, on the streets and at the polls, to eradicate this danger. But in my heart I know we will.
