It’s a lot of things, but voting has got to be one of them.

I don’t see life that way. The struggle has gotten harder but the struggle continues.

It’s not like there’s going to be a blinding flash and then everything is going to be perfect. But there’s going to be a window of opportunity during which we can begin the hard slog of healing and repair. Not everything will all of a sudden be exactly as we wish. That’s not life

2/ We should demand of our government & only elect those who put economic & criminal justice first, care of the earth first, care of children first & waging peace first. Not only in words but in policies and action. The vigor of our own citizenship should drive events from now on

1/ One day all of this is going to shift, and when it does we will have a small window of opportunity to begin again on a different foundation. We should be very clear that our priorities will no longer be the same.

Millions of yrs ago physically stronger men were more likely to protect a woman & kids & help them survive. Both sexes can be subject to ancient instinctive urges. Today’s evolutionary imperative the opposite; the power we need in order to survive are wisdom & emotional strength.

Anti-Semitism alert. A disgusting lie.

Using economic rather than humanitarian principles to organize human society has brought us to where we are. It’s important for all of us to remember that, because on the other side of this we should commit to never making that mistake again.

Definitely makes it more challenging, but in a way I think that’s the point - to model love when you see heartlessness modeled all around you. Otherwise we become that which we detest, and that would be their ultimate victory.

We can’t always control what happens in life, but we’re in control of who we choose to be in the space of what’s happening. I recently heard someone say that we should all be a little bit kinder now. We need courage and strength but we also need love.

2/ I’ve read a lot about the worst times in history but I’ve also read about their end. I was also deeply involved in the AIDS crisis, where death was all around us. Knowing “this too shall end,” and that if we love each other enough we will make it through this, is realism too.

1/ I visited a concentration camp once. I viewed the horrors & literally vomited as I exited the gas chamber. Then I read the plaque about the 20 year-old soldiers who liberated the camp & I cried even more.

Thank you. I agree. It gives me comfort -maybe comfort isn’t the word, but certainly inspiration - to look back at other times in our history that were as bad as this. Reading about our ancestors & how they moved through things- and triumphed - gives me courage and hope. 💖🙏🏻

Those were terrible, but somehow this feels worse. Almost a KGB-type feeling.

Each of us will one day be better for all this. If we refuse to let them break us, the times we’re in will catapult us into a far more beautiful world.

At a time when using words like horrifying has become almost routine, I must say that this one is really really horrifying...
DHS is gathering intelligence on activists in an attempt to tie them to foreign militant groups, per intel report leaked to me. One target was Brace Belden, co-host of the popular left-wing podcast @TrueAnonPod: thenation.com/article/societ…
