What year do you think that radio show was? Do you know where we were in that conversation at the time?

I wake up, I write, I go back to bed. A lot of writers do.

I do agree with that.

Read the article. I “promoted” nothing.

No, but people send me things & I don’t not respond anymore. AOC had something to do with that, actually. She’s very inspiring that way. She responds to really hateful stuff & at this point I think every woman should. Letting bullshit stay in the air doesn’t always dissolve it.

You’re right, I did run for president. But you’re wrong to think you know much of anything about me. Smears smear. And no more “crazy” in this country? What do you want to do, put people you think are “crazy” away somewhere? That’s an age old misogynistic trope, by the way.

I don’t have a problem with that. But I’ve never supported “pseudoscience,” so my point remains. The idea of body/mind/ spirit medicine is hardly pseudoscience. This is 2020, not 1979.

I don’t “support Marxists,” I just support freedom of thought and expression in the United States of America. The First Amendment is everything.

I realize that’s what you’ve been told but it’s not true. Their “own forces” are the thousands of people, black & white, who’ve been marching for justice since the death of George Floyd. Police injustices towards Black men must not continue. The American conscience had to respond

Real democracy is better; we just need to repair ours because it’s very, very broken. It’s America that needs a pro-democracy movement. The solution to corporate control is not state control. The solution is an awakening of the people.

Such things aren’t really organized so much as they unfold organically from higher aspirations inside us. People don’t need to be told that oppression is wrong, it must be stood up to & that our purpose on the earth is to love one another. It’s something we all know in our hearts

When I was in college it was taught and talked about a lot. He’s not some new unearthed secret. It’s a point in the journey, a part of our understanding, but I don’t see it as 21st century higher economic truth because it’s a totally materialist analysis of how society operates.

So you think drum circles and resistance to fascism is communism?

Forces of brute force brought tear gas & rubber bullets & pepper spray; the people of Portland brought their bodies, their conviction & their courage. Last night they gathered in communal celebration with chants and commemoration and drum circles. Soul force is a real thing.

The scene in front of the federal courthouse now. New lights up top. Drum corps going, occasional chants. Fence unshaken, no fireworks, nothing I’ve seen thrown, no police.

Thank you; some have tried to say the exact opposite. All of us will remember that time and the Centers for Living as a light in the darkness. Those of us who lived through it are marked in our souls forever, & it gave us a strong foundation for transforming what’s happening now.

Sounds right to me.We should always be doing everything possible to make voting accessible to everyone.
Replying to @MelanieScheible
Anyone who is really concerned about the "secrecy" of a ballot being cast with the assistance of another human should be investing in braille ballots, large print ballots, digital ballots, verbal voting mechanisms, and other accessible ballot methods. /end rant #nvleg
