Who exactly? Give me one instance. It is the feds who are teargassing, pepper spraying and shooting people with rubber bullets.

Who exactly is rioting?

No one has a right to blind federal agents, but neither should federal right agents have the right to teargas, pepper spray & shoot rubber bullets at people who are doing no harm!

Something has been called a riot that is simply a lot of people gathered. Thousands of people are not looting. It is the feds who are beating. And a tiny few are burning, who should be dealt with by local police. The feds being there is doing more to incite violence than quell it

That part is correct. But it’s not what thousands of people gathered in the streets of Portland are doing.

When the feds leave, the protesters will go home. Anyone who wants to cause a problem at that point should be dealt with by the local police. If the local or state government wants help from the feds, they can then ask for it. That’s how our system works.

It is the federal agents who are injuring people, and it could be argued that it’s the federal agents who are rioting.

But that’s not what it means. Try a dictionary.

No. That is illegal and dangerous. But thousands of people gathered in the streets of Portland tonight are not arsonists.

Of course it is. But that’s not what thousands of people in the streets of Portland are doing. They are there because they want the feds to go home, to get out of their town. The feds have done more to incite violence than to quell it.

There are always jerks involving themselves in any movement. There are always people who aren’t who they appear to be. That’s part of anything like this. But that’s not a reason to suspend our constitutional rights.

“Beware the danger of false positivism.” - Carolyn Myss. You can’t be real about the resurrection if you don’t acknowledge the crucifixion. You can’t be real about the promised land if you don’t acknowledge the slavery in Egypt. Spirituality is real; it’s not a pretend happiness.

People being teargassed and pepper sprayed and shot with rubber bullets for nothing other than standing in the streets of their city; those kidnapped and put in unmarked vans, held overnight and released only having signed something saying they would never protest again. Darling.

What I said was not opinion; it’s simply a fact. We have a Constitution in this country. We are a nation of laws.

The point is that it’s none of my business how other people live, as long as it doesn’t hurt other people or break any laws. Also, an agitator is someone who supports people in protesting and rebelling. It’s about time for some divine agitation around here. It’s been needed.

Being an anarchist is not actually illegal. Being an agitator is not actually illegal. Trying to use either one of those characterization as a reason for denying people their rights - THAT is what’s illegal.

All great religious teachings of the world telling a universal story. Life begins w/ goodness & peace, devolves into chaos & destruction, then goodness & peace return. Look at chaos but don’t dwell on it. Look at the goodness on the other side & know it’s your duty to invoke it.
