The situation is far more complicated than that. Right now let’s just save the ship from sinking; we can analyze and transform all that later.

There’s still a way out of this mess but all of us are needed to make it happen. We have 100 days before the Nov 3 election & he can only steal a state where it’s close. You MUST make sure you’re registered. Cross every T, dot every I. Talk to friends & make sure they do the same

Never before in the history of the USA has a US president basically declared war on the American people. We’ve done it to others, and yes – if you’re wondering if this is some kind of karmic irony by which we’re experiencing on ourselves what we’ve done to others – you bet it is.

3/ American cities have not been ablaze in violence - & whenever there’s a problem, state Governors can call out the National Guard if they wish. But they will be now. Thousands of protesters are arrayed & will be arrayed for one reason only: to tell the feds to get the hell out.

2/ Of course you didn’t. You’ve worried about Covid, the economy, your kids and more; situations about which govt indeed has needed to spend its resources. But invading Seattle? A multi-city landing of federal troops? For what?!

1/ To those even slightly swayed by the idea that these invasions are reasonable let me ask you: with all the problems facing us the last few months, did you once wake up in the middle of the night & go “Wow, we really need to do something about what’s happening in Albuquerque.”

I love these people so much. As ashamed as I am of America today I am so proud of my fellow Americans.

3/ But that doesn’t have to be the end of the story. Many kinds of death are followed by rebirth. As blind as it would be to deny the tragedy of what’s occurring now, it would be similarly blind to deny the reality of miracles that emerge in the midst of even the darkest night.

2/ Historians will analyze for much longer than any of us will be on this earth exactly what happened, how the experiment failed, how it came to be that we lost our spark, succumbed to our worst impulses and allowed our government to turn against its people.

1/ It was a radical idea, founding a country based on the idea that a government should serve its people. Though never fully actualized, until this era the aspiration prevailed.

They appoint people to head agencies with the express purpose of dismantling them - except those that increase their authoritarian rule. Steve Bannon wasn’t kidding when he said they were there “to dismantle the administrative state.” nbcnews.com/think/opinion/tr…

Thank you so much. I’m so sorry I never got to meet him but his work was a blessing on me as it was on so many. All of us will be even more committed now to the wisdom that he shared.
