1) Chad Wolf is an ex-lobbyist w/ no experience in law enforcement. He says it's "hyperbolic and offensive" to call unidentified people in military uniform now invading our cities & beating people with batons & grabbing & throwing them into unmarked vans, "thug stormtroopers."

My goal is to respect the US Constitution, which is the only way to make the most people both safe and free. Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Of course not. But neither do I think we needed federal troops to stop it.

They claim that only those whose careers have been entrenched for years in the system that got us into the ditch should possibly be considered qualified to get us out of it. In fact that system is so infused with an old kind of thinking that it’s almost the opposite at this point

When I said on my CNN Townhall last that we were at serious risk of a fascist takeover, I was called a not-serious candidate.

But the issue itself is private rather than public. We're losing on the abortion issue because they see it as a moral issue and try to make it look like we don't. I think abortion IS a moral issue but I trust a woman to make her own moral decisions w/out govt making them for her.

By not providing people with a genuine spiritual perspective, we empower religious zealots to do it for us.

But it's not. And avoiding the discussion because we're afraid of that has made millions of people think the Left doesn't consider values, which couldn't be further from the truth. Each of us can and should weigh in on public values, I think. If it's only them, look what happens!

1/ Traditionally the Right has focused on issues of private morality while the Left has focused on issues of public morality. But framing things in a moral context is important because people are hardwired for it; when it's absent they're more vulnerable to a counterfeit version.

I don't disagree with that; my point is about the language we use. The right often doesn't walk their talk, while we often don't talk our walk.

1/ One of the mistakes on the Left is that we’ve allowed others to control the narrative, largely by surrendering the use of basic words like patriotism, tyranny, freedom & morality. We tell the facts, or explain our experience, often without framing them enough.

The lawlessness & lack of order are in the WH, & you Sir are a prime enabler. You’re a co-conspirator in the desecration of the US Constitution & the people of your state will let you know that on Nov 3. I’ve often disagreed with you but I used to think you were a principled man.

We should all be deeply concerned about TBW's plan (already under way, apparently) to send troops into Chicago. Ministers, priests, rabbis and spiritual healers...now is a moment to rally the powers of the spirit in prayer & love. May all beings be blessed in this dangerous hour.

Yeah. I blew that one, but you know what I mean...:)

Absolutely. If the CIA and FBI had communicated more effectively, 9/11 would theoretically not have occurred. It is in fact not asking too much to make fundamental changes at this point; it’s incremental changes that will be an inadequate response to the times.
