3/ There are so many millions of chronically traumatized children in America that they're literally at risk just being home. But instead of an all-out effort to ameliorate those conditions, we use it as an excuse to endanger them further by unsafely sending them back to school.

Hardly out of touch on that. And I've been deeply involved. mariannenow.com/issues/plan-…

In a fair way, yes. That’s what elections are. Each side tries to win!

Ah! What a liberal concept! Convenient at times, huh?:)

I don’t think a one time $1200 payout is putting us anywhere near the risk of “just printing money,” especially when we’re giving hundreds of billions of $ in corporate bail outs. And no, we are not doing anything near everything that can reasonably be done.

Thank you. I needed that.

The only reason parent’s ability to provide food and shelter is at risk is because our government has not been willing to give #directcashrelief to its people.

The other countries that did it have COVID-19 under control, and are taking precautionary measures protecting children in the classroom. The Trump administration will not allow that to occur.

2/ Follow @AriBerman and @BrennanCenter, @fairfightaction to make sure you know everything you need to know to protect the election in your state. Don’t wait; get involved now. It’s not that far away.

1/ I feel confident that a majority of the American people want to stop this. I feel confident they would reject him at the polls. What I’m concerned about – what recent events should make all of us concerned about – is that they will do everything possible to steal the election

2/ If we actually think American children are so abused, so mentally or physically endangered at home as to make it worth the catastrophic risk of re-opening schools too soon, then shouldn’t that itself be seen as a humanitarian emergency?

1/ The head of the CDC said it poses more of a public health risk for children to stay home than it is to reopen schools. In what way? Could we take a moment to consider what that means?

2/ Almost quaint to hear esteemed Constitutional scholars say that none of this is allowed, that it’s not legal. I wonder if they get it yet: the people who are doing this don’t care.

1/ The most disturbing thing I heard on the news over the last week was someone saying that the worst part about what’s happening is that there’s no one left in the government to stop it. The first thing they did was purge all opposition on the inside.

Alana, graffiti isn’t a reason to shred the the Constitution. The terrible violence being perpetrated there is by federal troops using secret police tactics. I don’t know what Fox News is telling you but gestapo techniques don’t belong in a democracy. Fascism doesn’t belong here.

Way past “They need to be stopped.” They need to go to jail.

Ya think?
Unidentified stormtroopers. Unmarked cars. Kidnapping protesters and causing severe injuries in response to graffiti. These are not the actions of a democratic republic. @DHSgov’s actions in Portland undermine its mission. Trump & his stormtroopers must be stopped.

“Armed insurrectionists” are not “controlling the largest city in her state.”
