Right. Sorry. Too late at night, or too early in the morning, not sure which.

I always thought that name was creepy too.

The Department of Homeland Security should be abolished. It has totally and completely failed in its mission, a kind of Frankenstein that has turned against us. #AbolishDHS

It’s so big, you can’t take in all at once. You know it’s true but you have to swallow it in bite sized pieces. Fear, grief, anger all mix together as we process something so incredibly huge. It tears your guts out to face what’s happening. But it awakens something inside us too.
WARNING: There it is. .@DHS_Wolf the first official chief of the #SecretPolice in American history telling America you, your state & local elected representatives don’t matter in their authoritarian secret war on the Constitution. #Resist

I do think I’m rational and that I have objectivity. It is rational and objective thought that he is a danger to the world.

Exactly. Please help elect this woman.
Turns out secret police in vans are more dangerous than mythical antifa in buses.

It was like something that Isadora Duncan would have done.

I don't think it was safe at all, actually. I think it was risky and audacious and artful and wild.

I'd rather have someone with mental decline than with mental psychosis.

6/ All of those things foster strength right now. These are turbulent waters but we can navigate them. They're rough now & they might get rougher. But on the other side of this storm its going to be seriously wonderful. He will not destroy this country. I can feel it in my bones.

5/ What’s important to remember is that they in their times rose to the occasion & so will we. Fast, pray, meditate, read up on American history, follow what’s going on, don't look away, volunteer to help candidates (progressivecandidatesummit.c…), support the ACLU etc. We can do this

4/ Realizing how bad it is, is something we must do. Not to be overwhelmed by fury or depression or anxiety, but so we can really, deeply take in the meaning of this moment. No generation of Americans has ever been faced with a greater risk. As great? Yes. But never greater.

3/ But it has. The question now is how we respond to such a dangerous moment. We thought we had a double whammy on our hands: Covid-19 and an economic disaster. It turns out we have a triple whammy. The legs of our democracy are wobbling.

2/ What’s happening is a shock to our system beyond what most of us can fully integrate. Even those who knew we were in deep trouble as soon as he said he could murder someone on 5th Avenue and it wouldn't make a difference, didn't think it would rally get this bad this fast.

1/ We went from "Hopefully he won't be as bad as we fear" to "Wow he's even worse than we feared" to "Thankfully our institutions will hold" (remember the old days when we thought Mueller was going to save us?) to "Oh my God our institutions aren't holding".....to where we now.

I thought he was fabulous. I would’ve been on a show in a minute if I had known he wanted me.
