You’re basing that on nothing except some fundraising letter you’ve been sent. You might want to look at a book called “The Fifth Risk” by Michael Lewis. Those “bloated agencies” do more to keep you safe every day than you have any idea.
The Centers for Disease Control was running your life? The Post Office was running your life? The weather service was running your life? The Department of Justice was running your life?
When Trump was elected Steve Bannon said the goal was “the dismantling of the administrative state.” He wasn’t kidding & that’s what they’ve done. From DOJ to the CDC to USPS - even the weather service - they’re dismantling independent agencies & putting them under their control.
When he said “we might have to take over cities” he wasn’t kidding. Shame on MSM for reporting more about his promoting Goya beans than about his sending federal troops to Portland and what they’re doing there. google.com/amp/s/www.oregonl…
Shutting down USPS might sound like an unsexy problem but it’s huge. It strikes not only at voting rights but also at our ability to communicate with each other. Anybody who doesn’t think the ultimate target is the Internet is kidding themselves. This man must not be re-elected.
Cost to manufacture remdesivir: Less than $10
Public funding used to develop remdesivir: More than $70M
Price Gilead Sciences is charging Americans with private insurance for remdesivir: $3,100
This is wrong. We must make sure that remdesivir is available for all.
Other generations weren’t a bunch of dolts who never did anything. If anything, many fought harder than we have and deserve to be recognized for that. What historians have written is a whole different thing.
We care a lot when we see one child suffer. But there's a weird cognitive dissonance when it comes to millions of them. It becomes blurred, as though the sheer magnitude of the problem makes it seem less rather than more urgent and ourselves powerless instead of empowered to fix.
