If the president were given the money he wants for a wall, that same money would not be spent on border security techniques most needed (at ports of entry etc). This is all sleight of hand, gaslighting on a national scale. Why? We don’t know. But all of us should ask ourselves.

How do you justify that comment?

Important that they know we're watching...

Statement from Covington important for two reasons: 1) as a religious institution, it's important they take a stand for human values, &2 ) it's important for the boys to know that such behavior would have consequences. No, boys, rudeness & bigotry is not what makes America great.

So what's important is that we got to the point where we can all three see the goodness in each other. From here, we can dialog from a higher place. All good.

In her personal life she does practice love, compassion, understanding etc; it's just in her politics where things go south. (It's her TV that's on all the time blaring out the you-know-what news channel. I once thought about stealing it but it's bolted to the wall.)

Oh Mary Oliver, how can we ever say a deep enough thank you? Dear God, please bless her soul. May her words continue to inspire us, and may all of us walk in her footsteps.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes…

Who and what do you think the big corporation would be fighting?
1
Next time a politician tells you they want to go to Washington and "fight" for you, go online and see how much money they've received from corporate contributions. Easy enough to see who means it.

Corporate consolidation is a great destroyer of values, showing 0 mercy for fragile bonds of human connection - to each other, earth, other species, right commerce or any sense of ethical action. It's a moral rot that leads to political corruption that leads to human devastation

Corporate consolidation - in media, agribusiness, etc -- is the economic tyranny of the modern age. The real Big Brother, it imposes itself on our lives as though its short term profit is the god to which we are supposed to bow. Nature doesn't allow monopolies & neither should we

1) I recommend the work of The Children’s Defense Fund; 2) only support a candidate taking on the issue in more than a surface way.

Children aren't old enough to vote so they represent no constituency. They're not old enough to work so they have no economic leverage w/ a govt. that's a handmaiden to donors. They can't compete with corporate clout. You & I need to stand for a child's right to pursue happiness.

The forces that want to suppress immigration in America are NOT suggesting we use our resources to help children here at home. Far from it.
According to National Center for Children in Poverty "about 15 million children in USA – 21% of all children – live in families w/ incomes below the federal poverty threshold. 43% of children live in low-income families." This in the richest country in the world. Economy booming!
