“God gave all men the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” is not a spiritual platitude to me, but I respect your opinion. I guess I won’t put you down for a house party:)

If you watch again you’ll see that he asked how the spiritual applies to the political. And I absolutely talked about how the largest economic issue is that our govt serves short-term profit maximization for multinational corporations before serving people or planet.#Isuredid

How do you know that? Have you ever heard me speak about the issues? On interviews etc.? Do you think I have nothing to say, and that I’m just doing this to make a fool of myself? If so you don’t know me. I hope you will hear me and perhaps will change your mind.

When someone starts having less success attacking a message, they start to attack the messenger - especially if she's a woman. Elizabeth "unlikable," Alexandrea "crazy girl" & on & on. It only worked when we didn't see it for what it is, but now we do! It will not work this time.

The story of America is far too profound to be spoken of only in political terms. It is a story too painful, glorious, too emotionally contradictory to be left in the hands of the pedantic. Let the artist in all of us arise to understand and to weave the tale from here.

But isn't that what it means to say we struggled to give ourselves permission?

For centuries women had no voice in the public realm. Then we got rights, but still struggled to give ourselves permission to say what we wanted to say. Then we said it but it didn't always come out right. Now we're ready! Time to flood the airwaves with the wisdom that is ours

First of all, she was at a private event and didn't realize she was doing it in front of the rest of the world. I'm more concerned about people who actually rip crying children from the arms of their parents in front of the rest of the world.

I’m thrilled to join @SpeakerPelosi and @RepThompson next week in Washington to introduce a bipartisan universal background checks bill. Americans have spoken. It’s time to address our gun violence epidemic, and this new Congress will not sit silent. politico.com/story/2019/01/0…

We have religious freedom in this country - to believe however you believe, and whether or not you believe. Religious freedom is one of the cornerstones of our Constitution. "Whether a man believes in 20 gods or no gods neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." Thomas Jefferson
