What I hope to accomplish is the furthering of a conversation that I think matters. And I've written about it in a couple of my books, by the way. A nation as well as an individual needs to clean up its past, make amends for its errors, and begin on higher ground.

Slavery was abolished. But former slaves & their descendants were never fully integrated into the American economy. When you say we should invest $ in education, that's exactly what a reparations plan would do. It would be disbursed to economic development & educational programs.
