God is merciful, and so should we be – to ourselves and to each other. #forgiveness #mercy

Each of us has a natural guidance system, just as does every cell in the body. Some call it the small still voice for God, some call it intuition etc. What matters is that we listen TO it, as it guides each of us to take our part in a great & glorious transformation of the world.

Crisis, whether personal or political, is a cauldron of unprocessed, mistaken energies coming up for review. It forms a boiling hot liquid that either scalds or purifies, depending on how we handle it. Our generation of Americans now called to decide which. #america

Absolutely; enough of us understand that. I just think we need to be in full on not-gonna-let-this-happen mode, the way a mother goes into not-gonna-let-this-happen mode if her child is in trouble. Our ancestors fought too hard for this. We’re not gonna let them break it, no way.

I feel like cynicism is just an excuse for not helping. Hope is a moral imperative. I heard the Thai Army chief on television say that they really had very little hope, but they had to go with the hope they had. And look what happened!

Our system was not designed to withstand millions of undereducated people, millions of complacent people, millions of morally neutral people, and millions of greedy people all at the same time. Our character defects have overwhelmed the system. This will awaken us, or destroy us.

Totally holistic problem solving.

Relying on traditional politics to overcome an authoritarian threat is an inadequate problem-solving modality. We have to address deeper, more causal issues at the root of our problems. We have to heal the soul of this country. amazon.com/Healing-Soul-Amer…

We need to do more than describe what’s happening; we need to not allow it to continue crumbling. We need to transform it, and quickly. A total crumbling of American democracy would be a catastrophe not only for us but for the world.

No, sometimes what we resist dissolves. If the Allies had not resisted Hitler, Hitler would have won the war. It is true that we create what we defend against, but I think it’s important not to misuse that principal to justify complacency.
