One of the most damaging ideas ever promulgated in this country was the 1980s demonization of government, coupled with an over-glorification of the private sector marketplace. In fact both are important yet neither can be trusted if accorded unbridled power.

I thought we were supposed to teach facts and not just spout opinions. Can’t do that if you refuse to read the facts.
Trillion $ tax cut to the rich doesn’t circulate wealth; $ stays in the hands of those who already have it, thus increasing wealth inequality. Federal jobs guarantee program sends more $ circulating thru the system; more people would have buying power, helping to close the gap.
