Dear God, May those who have to bear the unbearable be strengthened in their sorrow. May the souls of those who passed be at peace in heaven, and those who lost them be comforted in this, their hour of agony. Amen

Taher Raad left Baghdad to pursue a career as a rapper. “I knew if there was at least half a chance in making it with a music career, I was missing it [being in Iraq]. So I came to Istanbul to start something.” Watch @taramilutis's film here: theatln.tc/2IA9AUU

Living a meaningful life is not a popularity contest, and if you're always getting applause then maybe you're not yet saying the right things. Sometimes there is a conspiracy of silence about things that matter most.

Mischaracterization of Dennis. And tell me why Elizabeth Warren is supporting a candidate who supports fracking and gets an A rating from the NRA? Is that how Dems are going to beat the Republican in November -- by completely abandoning our principles?

We can work towards a Constitutional Amendment to establish public funding of federal campaigns.

Sorry you feel that way. I don’t know you but I have liked our conversations...

If there is scant evidence of voter fraud, then no I don’t see it as the job of the president to set up a voter fraud commission. And as someone who watches mainstream as well as left-wing media, I can tell you that there’s lot of reporting on economic news & the defeat of ISIS.

OK explain to me. There’s something like .001% evidence of voter fraud & the president says that basically anyone who disagrees with him is fake news. So on what do you base your perspective? What is it that makes you willing to simply go along without any evidence to his claims?

Danny, I’m not demonizing! An attack on the Free Press is an attack on democracy. Efforts at voter suppression are an attack on democracy. Undermining our most vital institutions is an attack on our democracy.

Yes it is. It’s the first step in knowing that there is something we need to do. The fact that someone expresses upset doesn’t mean that they’re not doing anything about it.
Millions of Americans live in chronic economic despair and have for years. Only two major candidates in 2016 spoke to that, and it wasn’t the one saying we needed to just continue Obama’s successes. Too many people felt that those successes did not apply to them.

Both major political parties need soul and spine injection, one to more effectively oppose the president and one to rein him in. Both high minded conservatives as well as high minded liberals should be appalled by his obvious lack of affection for the fundamentals of democracy.

Biggest issue in politics is the disintegration of our democracy, partly by undue influence of money, partly due to the disengagement of too many people for too many years, and partly by a proactive assault on our democratic norms now being waged by President Trump & his allies.
