I'll go with that. But what one person sees as a merger, another sees as a reaction.

It's important to spend time trying to understand those who don't agree with you, but at this moment it's even more important to spend time trying to elect those who do.

Bernie, then Hillary. But you want to explain what you mean by that?
Love doesn't cower; love takes a stand. Love doesn't ignore the problem; love solves the problem. Love doesn't run away from suffering; love shows up for the sufferer. Love doesn't run away from darkness; love runs right into it, with a torch so bright that in time it is no more.

Help me out with that one please. In what way has she abused our democracy?

If a woman is being abused by her husband, we don't tell her that "Love" would have her accept the abuse. And if a democracy is being abused by its leaders, its citizens shouldn't think that "Love" would have them accept the abuse either. Sometimes Love sets boundaries & says NO.

Apples don't fall far from the tree. I admire the parents who raised those kids.

A lot more people love than hate. But people who hate, hate with conviction these days. We need to display as much conviction behind our love as some do behind hate. Conviction is a force multiplier. Take a stand for love, with power and with passion...and love will prevail.

As long as the shooter has an assault weapon, no way or time to bring him down fast enough. If he has a handgun, maybe a chance.

I’m with her.
I am a teacher. Arm me. Arm me with funding for a full time school Psychologist. Arm me with funding and mandatory school counselors. Arm me by funding smaller class sizes so I can best get to know every one of my 160 students and their families. Arm us with what we NEED.

Such points, in ACIM terms, “foster level confusion.”

Doing a spiritual bypass politically is as mistaken as doing a spiritual bypass personally. Sometimes love means grit along with the grace, dirt underneath our fingernails, and a sober appraisal of some very painful realities. The seeker should be the biggest grownup in the room

Love draws boundaries. Flooding the country with assault weapons. Ending net neutrality. Dismantling the EPA. Is a “nice girl” or spiritual seeker supposed to allow all that without resistance? ACIM says to look at the crucifixion but do not dwell on it. Complacency is not Holy.
