The fact you love someone doesn't mean you always agree with them; in fact you shouldn't agree if their position violates your principles. And if you value love as a political principle, that doesn't mean you acquiesce to tyranny. Personally or politically sometimes Love says NO.

That isn't true at all of every Republican. I sense there are millions of Republicans appalled at the right wing takeover of their party

Leonardo da Vinci's mother had no way to take care of him. And the vast majority of people on government assistance do not wish to be there. The demonization of the poor is a right wing strategy intended to justify robbing them.

It's immoral to refuse to feed a hungry child. It's immoral to withhold from people basic tools they need in order to better themselves. It's immoral to give to the rich at the expense of the poor. Some things are not morally relative; they're simply the wrong thing to do.

In terms of energy pattern, that's true

Some honestly believe that a country ruled by its richest citizens, mainly white men, with a weakened government that works mainly at it their behest, is actually a good idea. It's a new royalism. We defeated it in 1776 on the battlefield & we will defeat it again at the polls.

I would absolutely be okay with his hanging out with my daughter. He has admitted that he acted inappropriately and he has apologized. In some cases there's a distinct difference between harassment and assault, and he owned his mistakes. He did not deny them.

Yep! And there are a lot of hours in a day, seven days in a week. I'm a "preacher" AND a citizen!

Simply not accurate. If you want to argue facts, I'd be glad to.

Progress doesn't usually come as fast or in as big a chunk as we'd like, but we discredit our ancestors if we don't model the advances they made, in their time, to move it forward. We can do this. Let's encourage each other not to wimp out on something so important.

Personally, I don't think you should resign unless the people of Minnesota want you to.

Wait. Do you mean the money thrown into the hands of the very richest among us, at the expense of the vast majority of Americans? If so, I don't think that's true at all. There's such a thing as blood money, and people of integrity -- rich OR poor -- don't want it.

We're functioning as a plutocracy now, it's true, but we need to do more than whine about it. We need to get busy! We need to use the midterm elections in 2018 to begin a huge course-correction.
