We fought back an assault on democracy once before, side-by-side. And we will do it again.

No conscious intention to dismantle democracy; only an amoral dedication to their own bottom line. Once $ was declared "free speech" & allowed free reign in politics (Citizens United case), ability of the average citizen to counter the force they exert became almost impossible.

And that's our mission: to expand it. I think it does our ancestors a disservice to minimize the ways they did in their time would we need to do in ours. They didn't just whine; they changed the world.

It's not just a political darkness that would lift up a few at the expense of the many; it's a spiritual darkness. And it's a spiritual light, a devotion to something bigger than ourselves, that will cast it out.

The Tax Plan has nothing to do with creating jobs; it will simply create more wealth inequality. Politicians who supported it will be the only ones getting jobs out of it, when they leave Congress and seek work with their donor base saying "See what I did for you!"

Many corporate CEO's are calling the Tax Plan a terrible mistake, saying they don't need any more stimulation!!! Michael Bloomberg called it a "trillion dollar blunder." Serious, conscious business leaders are deriding it.

That's why we have to keep stating the counter narrative.
We can have a democracy or we can have a corporatocracy; we cannot have both.

"Of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations..."
The real impact of an unregulated campaign finance is on policy, and the proof is in this year’s tax bill. bit.ly/2AnMf5c

How do you know "there's no evidence of a crime?" The special prosecutor hasn't completed his inquiry yet.

I agree with that. I believe in this country. We're going to pull out of this.

You think they're protecting her now, or they were protecting her before?

Abolition emerged from the Quakers, many Suffragette leaders were Quakers, and Dr. King was a Baptist Preacher. It's not just that a mix of progressive politics and spirituality"can" happen; historically, it's the mix that has driven our greatest social justice movements.
